logo Forum for European Journalism StudentsThe FEJS International is a non-profit organization active for more than thirty years, established to share information, knowledge and experience in the European community of students in the field of journalism, and beginners in journalist practice. Its principal objectives include promoting cross-national interaction between its members, developing their social capital and providing them with an educational framework to enhance their professional skills.
All those objectives are pursued during its annual congresses held at European universities that offer a major in journalism and that are selected by Forum members in advance. In prior years, representatives of the Institute of Journalism, Media and Social Communication participated in congresses held at the University of Cologne (2014), National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2015) and University of Turin (2016).
The Annual Congress 2018 was held on 19-24 April in Krakow under the motto “Media Social Responsibility” that referred to the growing mediatization of the public sphere, relativizing truth, and intensifying non-ethical practices in communication spaces.
